Sedum pachyphyllum - Blue Jelly Bean

Blue Jelly Bean (Sedum pachyphyllum) (Rose): A much-loved mini with blue-green foliage shaped like fingers. Grow this one in bright sunlight to get pink blushing at the leaf tips. The leaves have a light coating of powdery farina. It branches freely and can reach up to 12.0" tall. Tall, leggy plants take well to pruning and any cuttings can re-root and grow into new plants. This species grows tall bloom stalks with yellow, star-shaped flowers.

Soft Sedum need bright sunlight to maintain their colors and full leaf coverage. They will not survive a hard frost, but if there is a risk of freezing temperatures they can be brought indoors to grow on a sunny window sill or under a grow light.

Like most succulents, soft Sedum need great drainage and deep, infrequent water to prevent rot. Pick containers with drainage holes and use well-draining cactus and succulent soil with 50% to 70% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
