Pachyphytum oviferum - Moonstones

Moonstones (Pachyphytum oviferum) (Purpus): A glaucous succulent of adorably chubby leaves. The thick leaves can be silvery blue to lavender and have a thick, powdery coating of natural wax. This loose rosette can grow stems up to 8.0" long, eventually bending and trailing from containers. This species grows on rocky cliffsides in Mexico and produces tall bloom stalks with white flowers, each containing a deep burgundy spot.

Soft succulents will not survive a hard frost, but if there is a risk of freezing temperatures they can be brought indoors to grow on a sunny window sill or under a grow light.
